I currently have a US v12 (70001) Slimline PS2 and want to play PSX imports and backups. I can't get anyone to tell me whether the Breaker Pro NTSC will work with this model. Thanks in advance.

yes it does work but it's pretty much useless, the game does not display on the tv properly, im getting rid of my breaker pro, it's no good, tried to find a solution to the problem but there was none, so im using the old psx for backups instead.

007PStwo was referring to the original poster, Bar81. v13 is SCPH-70001 in NTSC countries and SCPH-70004 in PAL countries.

v13???? Interesting. Okay, understand now. So, I guess the question remains whether the Breaker Pro will work with the V13 Ps2???

So finally, got it in and tested it. Nice device. Boots directly and forces everything into NTSC. Plays imports and backups just fine from all regions although PAL games are shifted slightly downward, meaning you lose a little bit of the bottom of the screen but you can just adjust your tv to compensate for that so it's not a huge deal. And of course if you have a multi system TV then you don't have to worry about it as you can boot games in PAL mode too. Has an anti mod and anti cheat defeat capability to boot.

Basically Swap Magic 3.6 for PS2 games=Breaker Pro 1.1 for PSX games

Also included a slide card thing in the DVD case in case you need it. All in all a very nice purchase and with SM3.6 a much cheaper route than a modchip that plays almost every game out there.

i didnt need the slide card as i dont have a bulky ps2 anymore. so i just use my slim tools. the border is the main reason why i sold it makes the breaker pro completly useless my old psx does a better job, even though ps2 has the soft touch to it (thats why i got breaker pro to make games look better lol) and i dont have the option to 'adjust my tv' so i can see the screen better it dont work like that. my tv view in NSTC and PAL + i have RGB scart for ps2/ps1. but the only way you can adjust the games picture is in the in built game and most psx games dont have this option.

There is no border on the NTSC version. It's full screen as it's supposed to be. And if you have a decent TV you should have the option to adjust the screen left and right and up and down.
