qoob pro disc read error

I just installed my qoob pro and the qoob boot up screen comes on fine, but whenever I put in any game (originals) i get a disc read error. If the boots screen loads fine then it shouldn't be a problem with the soldering, right? Maybe it is a problem with the POT. I can't find any solutions on the web so far, although I'm sure other people have had this problem. Any help would greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't have to change the pot settings to play originals after a chip install.

See if it'll play the originals with the original GC bios by selecting it from the boot menu.

Also, you might've just gotten some dust/dirt on the lens when you pulled your GC apart, so cleaning the lens might make a difference.
