hi,

For the last 3 weeks my PS2 been going nuts on me. Theres a weird noise... it goes "tac tac tac..." every 10-15 sec and sometimes all the time depending on the game. Loading is longer than usual and sometimes it either freezes for good or for a while before it works again. While playing, the music/commentator etc skips. It seems to mess up only when I use my backup discs with my Magic Swap V2.0 (I been using the Magic Swap for like a year with no problems till now), but works fine when I use original discs (no skips, no real noise, no extended loading times). I took it to the shop and the technician couldn't find anything wrong with my PS2. Anyone know what's going on?

I'm kinda worry, so all help would be greatly appreciated.

What name brand disc are you using, also try to burn at 1x

I been using Sony discs, never had any problems with them. I even tried old games and same thing. Hmm, if theres something wrong with the laser... wouldn't it mess up with the original games too?
