I have having trouble getting murder by numbers to fit on one blank DVD. I am using DVD Decrypter, IFOEdit, and Nero. I see that the .VOB files I need are:

VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01.7.VOB. These are over 6.4GB. Anyone know how to get this to fit on one DVD+R or +RW?

This is the first movie to stump me, maybe it just can't fit.

Thanks,

Reencoding is the only way for something that size.

There are a couple of methods of reencoding. You need to ask yourself what is important to you. Do you want the menu? Do you want subtitles? Do you want a dvd or something else, like svcd or divx? If you don't have some experience with the smaller, easier dvd-5 movies or ones that easily fit on a disc, it could get quite frustrating for you. I would suggest much reading here and on Doom's website and wish you luck. You will need an authoring program such as maestro, a frameserving program, like dvd2avi. A subtitle program, like subripper. A chapter program, such as chapter extractor. And last but not least an encoding program like tmpeg or rempeg or everyones favorite, cce. You also need to find out how to get the right encoding bitrate with a bitrate calc or a similar method.

Holy cow! Ok, thanks for the info! Man, I may not head down this path just yet. But I will keep this info until that day comes. Thanks again!
