I use the bbmayo method, and have for some time. When in shrink do I even the deep analize thing when it appears or can I just untick it?

deep analysis is for big compression jobs and to get the output size more correctly fitted to dvdr5 size...

like a 2 pass encodeing

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

I use the Deep Analysis on majority of my compressed movies.

There's also another enhancement below that: Adaptive error comprensation-Max smoothness/Max sharpness/sharp default. Those will really slow you down, but those backups look better when you backup those larger movies like Lord of the Rings/harry potter.

You'll have to tinker around with those enhancements to see how those backups look on your tv sets. I am partial to the Max Smoothness enhancement. 40%-50% compression:The backup is still very close to original quality when using those Adaptive error compensation enhancement.

Wow, I wasn't aware of these enhancements. Where are they, on shrink? And if so where at in there?
If I can get the movies better the better. ---zen-->

It's on DVD Shrink backup options tab under quality settings tab.

The top enhancement is Deep analysis

Just below that is the compress video for adaptive error quality setting.

Just below that, you can scroll for 4 or so different options.
