Hello Peeps,

Is there a way that I could convert a .ISO file to DivX format...Earlier, I have converted DVD into a .ISO image file ( Don's ask me why I didn't convert DVD to .avi format in the first place!)...and now, I want to convert the same .ISO file to DivX format. Please let me know if there is a software to do that!! Also let me know if by doing this conversion process, will there be any video quality loss??

Thanks
BJ

I also would like to know the answer to this question. I am currently searching the forums to see if i can find the answer. I have been using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to copy my movies. Now i would like to just convert my DVDs to XviD or AVI or something that can play from my computer. That way i can store all of my DVD backups on my hard drive and stream them to my media player that is hooked up to my home entertainment center.

Hope i didn't babble too much. Thanks....

The reason why I cant use AGK is cuz I have .ISO files from DVD Shrink.
Happy searching anyways..!

Extract the iso or mount it and convert. If you use AutoGK you would have to remux your DivX AVI to DivX format after encoding, adding subtitles, etc.

Okay, I finally found out a way to do it...There is a piece of software which does it simple and easy. It is called "FairUseWizard" and it can be downloaded from here
http://www.fairusewizard.com/lang_en/fairuse_wizard_dvd_divx_xvid...

and it's guide to do it is here:

Fairuse , It's free and will convert your ISO to a 700mb XVID (avi)only, the reason I use this program is because it has never given me an audio sync problem in over a 100 conversion's. Highly recommended to everybody. Program only works with ISO's.
Anytime you do a conversion from DVD to ISO, the video quality you loose will be insignificant. When you take a dvd (whether directly from dvd rom, files or ISO) and convert it to AVI there will significant quality loss but many people are satisfied with the result. The only way to increase the quality is to make your AVI file larger.
