So I super glued it down. It worked for about 8 months. But then one button come loose. I pressed it down and it worked again. So I glued it again. Now the button is bad..,... the button is bad. It is the one in the back.
Dose anyone know how to bypass this button?

your pics are dead. if its the little white button inside the ps2 at the back you can open the button throw out the casing and spring and solder the 2 silver pads together.

Hey guys could you help me too? I also broke the back switch on my slim. Before I go sodering I wanted to make sure I know exactly what you did.

1. So from what I understand is... you have a slim ps2
2. You broke the back switch "C" that has a extreemly small spring within a plastic or metal casing.
3. To fix it you are bridging the two metal contacts inside the switch (that are on the board) by sodering them together?

Looking at my ps2 motherboard I can see two metal "plates" with a small gap between them that is slightly curved... like this

I'm no soder expert so any advice would be most welcome.
Thank you so much.

In mine, I got 4 silver tabs. I used a bread twisty to check which ones to hook together. Dont use the solder iron for too long. use a strand of a wire.. or a pic of Solder "if you r quick to solder"
good luck

Thanks so much for the help...could I have a little more?
What did you mean by using the twist tie to check the connections?
This is my best guess. Your powering up the system and putting the twist tie between the connections?
Second question did you connect all 4 points or only 2? etc.
Once again thanks for your help. I want to make sure I'm doing this right.

Hook one side to the other.
One left(top or bottom) and one right(top or bottom)will work.
