Anyone ever have trouble burning this DVD? This is the first of about 20 to not burn for me. Normally I use DVDShrink with DVD43 running, and then burn with Nero and everything is fine. Shrink and 43 seem to to their jobs, but when I go to burn, it stops 50% of the way with an "illegal disc" error. I did notice that MGM movies give me trouble with just Shrink running (thats where DVD43 helps), but this one won't burn at all so far. I also have DVDdecypter, but never tried it. Any suggestions?

Give DVD Decrypter at try, but before you do, disable DVD43 first as these two proggies seem to conflict when running together.

Check out the link in my sig, and it'll show you how to burn with Decrypter and Shrink.

Good Luck!

Thanks Konfused1. Everthing worked great. What exactly does DVD Decypter do that the other two aren't?

I have never used DVD43 (because DVD Decrypter has done such a good job, so far), but from what I've read, it works behind the scenes to "rip" a dvd you insert into your PC for back up. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. (I'm sure other members have a more detailed explanation, but that's as simple as I can describe it.) Meanwhile, as DVD Shrink can rip, it is not as powerful a ripper as DVD Decrypter, eventhough Decrypter (as well as Shrink) isn't updated anymore. Aside from ripping, Decrypter also comes with a burner as well. The only other difference between DVD43 and DVD Decrypter are a couple of extra steps needed for Decrypter, but I don't think they're that much of a hassle.

When I was a "newbie", I started (and still am) using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. They've been doing flawless work for me, so I haven't changed anything since then. I'm sure all the members here at aD have their own favorite proggie set ups, but this is what works for me. I'm sure you'll find your own set up soon. Good Luck.

Happy Burning!
