Some of the backups i have for the PS2 are no longer readable by the console. Scratched etc. I'm clued up on the burning side so no worries there but I'm stumped on something that cant be that hard.

Like said there old games, so my plan was to put the CD/DVD back in the drive on the pc, extract the data to create a new ISO then burn at a slower speed. Sounds simple yeah, so why av i spent 3hrs failing badly?. Been using these below n could do with some help as to why i cant make a new disk. Thanx ;)

Just finished the 1st stage in DVD Decrypter so can let ya have a look at what says in panel on the right, hopefully it will mean more to u than me. Now that it's finished I've 2 files in the temp folder as directed. (DVDIMAGE ISO 4.36GB) & (DVDIMAGE MDS 4.21KB)

The games Fifa St, n yeah now u mention it, it does sound on the large size for a game of that sort.

So am guessing the MDS file is used as a cue sheet. At last feel like getting somewhere.

Will go search for a re-building tut, thanks for the replies so far n keep em coming ;)

Fifa Street needs a patch. If you dont use the patch it will freeze on the loading screen.

You can find the patch on my website:

Why can this game not be re-built? Usin a mod chip do the rules still apply?

Will let ya no where am up 2 anyhoo for future ref as hit snags. The following steps are from another tut here at AD
Quote:
Step 2.
Open up Isobuster and load in the image file.

Step 3.
Hold shift and highlight all the game files and put them in a folder.

Step 4.
Open up Nero burning rom and create a new UDF/ISO dvd (It's the last one in the list). Drop all the game files into Nero in the same order as it is listed in Isobuster. Just keep Isobuster open as a reference when you do this. Nero will change the order of the files graphically, however they burn in the order that you dropped them in.
Ok think have got it mixed up somewhere as jus made another coaster ;( In step 2 where it says load image, does this refer to the big file or the cue sheet?

I went with the big file and ended up with ISOBuster having a data folder containing lots of files, A system CNF icon, a slus 211_64.7 icon & a IOPRP280.IMG icon. These were in the right hand pane. Then i followed step 4 but again could have done somethin wrong as unsure what is meant by "drop in order".

Anyway hope ya can help, cos they aint even very nice coasters ;)
