CENDYNE 4X DVD-R 105 whats best media?

I want to use dvd x copy to copy movies what media can you recomend?
I goin to update this drive to the pioneer A05 firmware.I understand its same unit
any comments with this

I have that drive and after much research and testing I have arrived at the ultimate disk to use. Ritek 4X media at shop4tech.com 1.79 each. I had my first "Cendyne" burn out after 40 or so disks and Office Max replaced it. I upgraded the firmware to 1.21 on the first unit and will not upgrade the second. I am concerned that mabey the Ritek's had something to do with the drive becomming "unresponsive" All the warnings only mention up to the A04 so I assume the A05 or the 105 is okay. Anyway, leave well enough alone and don't upgrade firmware. The Ritek's are great and I've burned 100 so far without a single coaster.

Hey I just baught the cendyne 4x dvd-rw drive. The dvd-rw that came with it worked fine. Is there anyway of finding out what media that was. It doesnt day on the box.

Hey Ecost,
I have the Pioneer A05, the original one packed by Pioneer. I bought RitekG04 disks from RIMA.com 100 for 170. My driver has the original firmware 0.52. The RitekG04 disks supposedly be 4x DVD-R disks, but my drive only sees them as 1x. So have i been scammed, by the RIMA.com company??. Or do i need to upgrade my firmware version to have my DRIVE see the RITEK disks as 4x. Also where is the site to upgrade the firmware for my A05 drive

The disks are silver top with nothing written on them, and dark purple bottom.

The original Pioneer included 4x disk worked fine as 4x, but not these disk.

Any help would be appreciated.
