Playback on computer but not on standard DVD player

I successfully (?) used DVD Shrink to create a new DVD disk that plays back fine on my computer. When I played it on my DVD player, it didn't read the disk the first attempt, and then on the second attempt appeared to read it but the screen was completely black during playback. I could see the chapters with times when selecting details on the player but there just wasn't any picture or sound. Is this a factor of not creating the disk properly or some other problem I can fix??? My DVD player is an LG DVD recorder (with video as well) that is region free.

Try a different brand of DVD+r/-r which one work for you first and see if it works.


Where did your original DVD come from? China?
Sometimes some of the disc just won't play on your DVD player nor p.c..

Did your original DVD disc play successfully in your DVD player?

I had DVD in which won't play in my DVD player nor in my DVD rom in my computer.

So I used this program (1 Click DVD to mpg) below-

I use mpg file to burn using Nero Express 3 to make into DVD+R and it works. You won't get the exact menus on the original disk, the quality of the video will be not as good compared to made using DVD Shrink, but at least you can view the video on your DVD player.
