can any body tell me what ii would need to copy ps2 games to a harddrive
in my ps2 thanx

1) A hard drive ( No.1 preferance is MAXTOR 40gig or larger
2) A sony network adaptor (normally used to play online games)
3) some software such as HD Advance.
4) A slide tool (like the ones used for swap magic)

The network adapter provides the interface to plug the HDD in to the back of the PS2.
The software allows you to format the HDD and load games on to it and to play then from a menu selection.
The slide tool allows you to open the disc tray without the PS2 knowing it is open so you can swap the HD Advance disc for a back-up for the purpose of loading the game to the HDD. (not needed for actually playing a game that's already on your HDD).
ie:- you only do this once for each game you put onto the HDD.

I don't really know alot about this but can use a chip insted of a slide tool.

Oh!!!
Can you play backup games without the original disc, like for example, you can rent or borrow a game, loaded to your HDD and then returned.

Thx for the help and srry if this is a stoopid question but I'm new to PS2 moddin'.

No slide tool is needed accept maybe with the slimline ps2 i dont know for sure about those.
