Hey, has anyone else had any trouble backing up this game? I used DVD Decrypter and also Nero but I keep getting glitches. I mean, the game works but very slowly. Sometimes it takes a long time to load, sometimes forever. The disc keeps slowing down when in rotation, then it will speed back up again, and then slow down, etc. If I open the swap magic cover and press down on the disc as its turning it will help speed up the loading time but I'm not gonna keep my finger on the disc for the whole game. Anyway, does anyone know my problem? I've burnt 3 times. Twice on DVD Decrypter (1x and 2x) and once on Nero (1x). The 2x burn doesn't work both 1x burns work the same..with all that skipping and crap. Thanks. =snow=

Yeah, Tiger Woods 05 was really the only other EAS game I tried but I was having similar issues. I use swap magic 3.6. Most of my games work flawless but with a few, like this one, I get weird laser issues...like I can hear the disc slowing down and speeding up because it's having trouble reading it or something. The finger trick that I mentioned before works but I don't know why and like I said it gets annoying when you have to keep putting your finger on the disc so it will read.

Hey bunnam, When does the flashing happen? All the time? If you can still see the game but the screen is flashing and blurry it's probably a PAL formatted disc, in which case you can switch the format with swap magic. If it's not that then I have no clue what your problem is, I've never had a flashing/blurry problems.

I rebuilt the ISO and the size went from 4.37 GB to 2.12 GB. For the Swap Magic users, you're most likely going to have to rebuild the ISO if you want it to play it near-flawless. I didn't rebuild the Tiger Woods 2005 ISO when I got it and it ran extremely choppy and very slow... but with the rebuilt Tiger Woods 2006, it runs just like the original.

I rebuild every game. It seems to work flawlessly if I do so, so i figure why not spend the extra few mins to make it work right.

Can one of you guys send me a link on how to rebuild a game? I'd like to know the easiest way. I tried it once with God of War and it took like 6 hours and the game started skipping at the end. I think there are a few techniques, right? What's the easiest? Thanks to anyone that replies.

Some of the games have to be rebuilt in a special manner in order to shrink them to dvd5 size, like god of war, unless you can find it already done for you. The way I rebuild games is quite simple and takes maybe 15 mins max.
1. Open the iso with ISObuster.
2. Drag all the files from isobuster into a new folder.
3. Keep Isobuster open.
4. Open Nero burning Rom, select iso/udf project under the dvd menu.
5. Drag the files in that new folder, one by one to the Nero burning rom window(the leftmost pane) In the opposite order that Isobuster lists them.(some say in the same order, I do the opposite order, seems to work well for me)
6. Burn the dvd at desired speed(I used to burn at 2x, found the games ran REALLY slow, so now i burn at 12x, on verbatim 16x dvds)
7. Find the right media(brand, speed of blank DVD) is sometimes a bit tricky, i just went with verbatim because they are high quality and havent had any issues since i started burning games this way.

Thanks a lot. I'll try this. 12x seems really fast, i usually get bad results with anything over 1x but I guess there are less files. What files does it get rid of, do you know? Also, what's the easiest way to include the DNAS authentication to play online? Thanks.

Yeah i thought 12x would give me bad results too, but it didnt, heck some of the games seem to load faster than originals. For DNAS Patching i use WinDIPv1.7 and IDCheckGenerator to generate 2 sets of random numbers for the first 2 sets that you need. Theres a few sites with a good ammount of IDs

what version of Nero do you use?
I've tried Nero 6.0.0.1, 6.6.0.13 & 7 but everytime I select the ISO/UDF option it gives me an error about files can't be over 2gb and I must switch to the UDF format, it olny gives me one window to work with (which I am guessing is only the ISO widnow) and when I tried to burn a game with the UDF format it still didn't work.

NTFS.
forgot to mention in my previous post, I just used DVD Decrypter to copy it (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006) and it plays with no slow down or anything.

Must be something about the install. I still cannot get it to run on the PC as it stops and says 'protection error'. Backed up my laptop, uninstalled it on there then re-installed and cant get it to run on the laptop now. Same 'protection error' as PC. Put the backup back on the laptop and it runs OK again. Dont know what the difference is.
