Problem with Firmware update 2.00 for Pioneer 103

I have 2 103's and have updated both to v.2 firmware. Neither now register as being DMA capable in the bios of my Asus A7V8X motherboard although Win2k reorts that DMA is switched on and the drives are OK. However, burning at 2x usually fails and reading DVDs and CDs takes forever to start, indeed some can't be read at all. You can hear the drive struggling. Has anyone had similar problems or know how to go back to an earlier Firmware version?
