Xbox dashboard folder.. HELP

I've softmoded a couple of xboxes so far but my stupid friend renamed his dashboard foler on the hard drive. It will only play game and does not boot into the dashboard. Does anyone know or have any ideas to fix this. Thanks

alright FTP to the dashboard and find the file and rename it what it is suppose to be!
Xbox: V1.0, Thompson DVD-Rom Drive, 10 GB HD
Dash Board: Unleash X
Other Mods: LCD screen, 2 USB Ports, Pro Switch
APPS: Xbox Media Center

Well, that's just fine and dandy if he can FTP. In a softmod your not going to be able to FTP unless your in the dashboard.
You need to create a dashboard boot disc. Then it will boot into the dash from the disc without having to access the hdd.

ohh forgot he was a soft modder yeah make a boot disk with the dash u want....and well u heard the man ^^^^^ anways yeah use to hardmod problems not soft but u get the idea.

hey i did the same thing except i deleted my dash while un installing a softmod sooo how do i create a dash boot disk one differnt thing he has from me is that well mine goes into error 21 insted of going to the dash i want to restore the origanal dashboard please tell me how i am softmodded to btw

even if you have an autoinstaller lying around,just boot to that. Most of them have file managers somewhere in the list of apps....use the file manager and rename the files/folder to what it should be and reboot.

thanks, but i have another question. How do i unlock the F and G drives so i can use apps and games. I installed Evolution X from
ltools v1.7.5 i con't copy dvd2xbox to the F drive

alright here is my advice if in fact you are still trying to solve the problem. If you boot an installer... for example krazyies UXE installer for MA... it is basically the unleashx dash and it allows you to automatically ftp to the box. If it still plays games that is the way i would go about fixing it. Either that or make a boot disk, but i see that as the more complicated way.

yah but well i try to boot it and now i get error 13 yes the thing is still installed but i cant acess either dashboard it let m e on once but then i hit reboot on the dash and its doing the samething i restored my old c drive and now it is back to 13 instead of 21 so how do i fix this
