DVD to VCD help

I know there is DVD shrink and I use it when I need to backup my DVDs but is there another program that is just as good that can rip and compress a movies into VCD fast? I have a large amount of DVD's that I would like to compress and make VCD's
Any help would be very much apreciated.

Guess it depends on your definition of "fast" :)
There's DVD2SVCD that I've used with good results. If you run it using the default settings it's going to want to run most of the night. But you can tweak it to reduce quality a bit, still get good SVCDs and convert in a couple of hours or so.

The author of the program has a forum on doom9.

you might try movie jack or dup dvd. they both work . but why would you do that. just to make a VCD .maby you don,t have a dvd burner right?
