I have been backing up dvd games for about 3 years now. With in the last 2 months most of my dvd backups freeze at some point in the game. I have a version one ps2 and I use magic swap 3.6 with flip top. I currently use TDK 8x DVD-r or Ritek 4x DVD-R. I have cleaned the lens and switched the white gear position with little success. I use Nero 6 to copy games the I tried using DVD decryptor and apache to rebuild games less then 4.3 Gb. I have a NEC 3250 Dual layer burner.
Lately these games have been freezing at same spots no matter what media I use, type of copying and speed of burning. Old DVD-r of games like FFX-2 and simpsons hit and run work fine but games like Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Midnight run 3, Xmen legends2, God of War rebulit to DVD5 all freeze either at a loading screen or during intro. Originals work fine. These games also freeze at same point in my friends PS2 with swap magic 3.6 booting methods. Any suggestions?
