I agree with him on the x3 part, however, you really should look into either a) solder the chip in or b) have someone solder the chip in.
previously, i had a solderless adapter and they end up being more of a pain than good, get it soldered, you never have to worry about it again. My solderless chip continuously came loose and lost connection (very frustrating)

I agree with you.

@Squirrel0
Most people who get the solderless end up having to solder down one side of the adapter anyway. Just like will said, you save yourself pain in the future.

There are various places on the net you can get mod chips and the prices range but usually not exceeding $65-$70. I don't wanna advertise for a company but if you type in "buy modchips" in a google search...you'll get several results. As for easy to install, they can be depending on the person...if you're new to this and doing it yourself, you should try a solderless. For less potential problems from the install in the future get someone that knows how and get a chip that needs to be soldered. There are several types/brands of modchips available for an xbox:
Xecuter 2.6 or 3, Xodus Xenium ICE or SP.ICE, Spiderchips, to name a few. They are all very to find via Google.

Oh, you might wanna resize that picture you posted.
