Hi,

I'm interested in getting an external hard drive for my slimline ps2 (modified, matrix infinity)-(SPCH-70002). I was wondering -

- can i get it to connect at the back (with the network crossover cable)
- would i be able to get the ps2 to automatically load some sort of menu when booted up, so i can select games/movies etc, without putting in a boot disc?
- what equipment would i need? recommended brand hdd?

I dont think the slimlines hdd connects through the network plugin like the original ps2 hdds do. They plug in to the USB ports on the ps2. The boot menu will come from a program you need to buy on disc called USB Extreme. This must be bought from the company that produces it because backups of it dont work. I do not think however that you can put dvd movies on the harddrive, at least i cant with my original ps2 and the internal hdd i have in it. Check the USB Extreme homepage for what type of hdd is compatible and you might want to check game compatability too because I dont think its as good on the slimline as it was on the original with hd loader.
