Right now i have a maxter 80gig in my ps2 but its already full. I just bought a new computer and figured out how to burn games. I was wondering is there anyone out there who has had both an internal hdd and a fliptop at seperate times who could make a recomendation on wether to switch over or not? I want to keep the games i have but keep getting more, are there any reasons to not go to a fliptop, money does have a small importance but if i sell my maxtor i should break about even. Any thoughts?

Didn't you already ask this question? I have a fliptop and a hd and they both work great.

well, if its a game that i know i will play alot, (like tiger woods, madden, etc) I will put it on my hd to save my ps2 laser. Otherwise, i will just play the game off my burnt disc.

I use both... I don't put all my games on the HD. Some games I have aren't worth putting on the HD...
Some games I only play once in a blue blue moon, so I play them with the swap/flip top.
I think having both is best, not because that's what I do, but because you leave your options open. You can have the best of both worlds.
I don't have a fancy Schmancy mod chip, I use a simple memory card exploit to run my machine.
But in the end, the decision is yours to make.
Cheers

i have both. fliptop and the HDD. i put games on the HDD that i want to load faster. then when i am done with them ill put em on a cd/dvd to keep for later on if i want to play them again. plus having both makes it easier when you bring the system to a friends house. you can play their games with the fliptop and they can play your games on the HDD without having to bring all the discs
