Hey guys, my first post in afterdawn (this website ROCKS) for newbs and the like.

I'm having problems.

It starts with a DVD rip I downloaded, in avi format, which has some kind of error in the audio, and I have to decompress the audio to uncrompressed PCM and then recompress to remove this error (using VirtualDub).

From there, I've encoded the video from this avi source to a DVD compatible MPEG2 format (using TMPgenc Xpress 3.0), which I then multiplex using TMPgencs MPEG editor (combining the encoded video and the recompressed audio).

All is well, so I compile and burn the multiplexed file (using sony DVD architect) to a DVD+RW to test first off. All is well once more, so I try with a DVDR (numerous times) with the same end result - the burning operation times out or goes to 99% but doesn't complete the lead out.

I've tried copying the 'good' DVD+RW with nero, dvd shrink, compiling directly to a DVDR, reinstalling NERO...and they all have the above effect...

I hope this makes sense to you!

P.S I'll be eagerly watching this thread...and I can supply any additional information you may require

Many thanks in advance!!!
