I was just wondering why on my PS2 with DMS3 modchip I always have to patch PAL games to stop them from flickering on my NTSC tv but I don't have to patch any PAL xbox games with my xecuter 2.3. The xbox Pal games always play fine without any patching. Is there any new ps2 modchips out there like the dms4 that will solve this problem? Thanks

Yes the DMS4 Pro i have will play PAL & NTSC just fine
It has a force NTSC mode and "Y" position fix setting
so you set it to Force NTSC and "Y" position fix to yes
and it will force all PAL games to NTSC screen modes and
also adjust the screen

Thanks Steimy,
With the "Y" position fix setting on Pal games does it line up right with the tv? Basically when it auto adjusts the screen does it look right or is there always going to be little gap missing on the top or bottom like when I patch pal games? Everytime I patch Pal games manually with my DMS3 the screen is always a little off. Just wondering if the DMS4 took care of this problem. Thanks

with most games i have it works perfectly
i do have one where it cuts off about a 1/4 inch
at the bottom, but much less than when you use Swap
Magic screen mode changes.
It is worth getting a chip just to never have to patch
or rebuild a game again. That and the DVD9 support
then you won't have to shrink any DVD9, just back it
up onto a dual layer disc and the DMS4 Pro will play it.
