I am getting the Xbox 360 in November and I want to mod my old Xbox when I do.

Where are some sites I can go to to order or download what I need?

Is there a good eBay site or other URL I can go to? Where do I start?

What is difference between softmod and hardmod? Is it the chip? And which is best for LEAST money?

AfterDawn is a good place to start. All the programs you'll need are free. I can't give you direct links but search through P2P clients, torrent, and IRC for files.
