I know there is another thread but its getting filled with people coming in saying how theres works and its easy this that and the other thing. Im not a noobie when it comes to burning PS2 games and havent had any problems in quite a while, until NBA Live 06 kicks me in the ass. Ive tried loading it with dvdloader, no go, rebuilt twice, wont load.

If anyone has figure out how to properly rebuild and burn this successfully please post a small guide on how it can be done. I think EA put a bunch of crap on the disc to stop people from copying it. I mean 4 GB for NBA Live? Seems quite large to me. Anyhow id really like to play this game, so if anyone can offer assistance, feel free to do so.

i was at my wits end...four coasters...hadn't had any in over a year...rebuilt the damn thing four different ways...getting frustrated, i decided to just do a straight up iso write with decrypter and wouldn't you know it...sh*t works...tried a image burn with alcohol...sh*t works...

conclusion: don't try to rebuild live 06 if you're using Smagic...all you'll get is coasters...just burn the iso image...

editors note: the game is aight...imo though, basketball sim games are still lagging behind other sports sims (ie. mvp and madden)...

yeah...game plays fine...

but every game i've tried rebuilding has worked so i'm convinced live 06 can be rebuilt...i've tried it two more times today but, again, two more coasters...it's driving me f@#$%$ nuts...

I burnt it straight up with Alcohol 120% and it worked like a charm loads fast as hell, works online, everything. Most of the time i have to rebuild games to get them to work properly, but this one worked when i didnt rebuild and ended in coasters if i did rebuild.

yeah...same sh%t here...

i feel a lot better knowing someone else had the same trouble i did...although i wouldn't wish coasters on anybody...

@maddman

try changing the burn speed...it's different for everyone, but 4x works best for me...others swear by 2x or even 1x so i'd just try each out and see which one works for you...

Believe me i feel your pain. I had alot of problems with this game. It actually works if you dont rebuild it just burn the ISO with w.e program you prefer, Alcohol 120 worked for me. Mine works online, i dont know some people were having problems with validating their EA accounts.

I think EA Sports is ahead of us now. I can't get it to work without freezing between menues and cut scenes. The game is the same as live 2005 anyway so I don't really care if this is the only game I can't back up. If anybody figures it out please post
