I was wondering what is the best format to use when capturing video for editing. I'm wanting to capture my tv programs and then convert them to divx or xvid for space issues. Which codec should I use to get the best quality out of my video? Thanks

Best quality, use NO codec. Uncompressed AVI video takes up huge amounts of space though.
Next best; HuffYUV.
Next best; MJPEG
For reasonable quality, and smaller file size, DivX or XviD.

Black holes are where God divided by zero...
Cheers, Jim
