Ran across another problem. I burned a movie, 'The Longest Yard' once with no problems and went to make another copy, and this is what I encountered:

Remember though, that's what we thought before, so I switched disks since I had the wrong ones. This kind have worked before though.....

Have you tried a different disc from that spindle?
You may have inadvertently picked up a bad disc.

I think I have tried a couple of different disks. It looks as though it's a disk problem though? Is is possible the whole package is messed up? If so, why is that????

It is very possible that you may have gotten a bad "batch" of those disc. If you can, return them to get your money back.
I would highly suggest you obtain some Taiyo Yuden brand disc. I have bought over 300 of them and have yet to encounter a "bad" disc.

That would really suck if that's the reason!!!
Just a note, I can copy the disk onto my hard drive with no problems, so that would prove that my burner is not messed up, right?

hi
fat32 operating systems doesnt like file sizes of over 4gig, you are writing an iso over that size!
try ripping in file mode as the biggest file will be 1gig...
also try a firmware update maybe? for better reading of discs...
but as said could just be discs???????

Rotary, he/she has another hard drive. D: is FAT32, C: is NTFS
His/Her ".ISO" file is on the C: drive.
I would say your burner is fine, its the disc's.

so dvdD is loaded to a backup drive??? or is the D:\ fat32 the main operating system?
and C:\ drive is ntfs? i didnt see that...
load app to C then try that.

can't find much info on firmware for that Philips burner, did it come with your PC when you bought the PC ?, and if so what make PC is it ?
