Backup of Virtua Tennis 2 wont boot with SM 3.3

I tried to backup Virtua Tennis 2 onto a CD. When I try to boot it, the game gets stuck at a black screen. So it sorta starts to boot, i mean it gets past the SM screen. So yea I get stuck at a black screen. :S

The media I am using has worked before on other games, flawlessly. Why wouldnt it work with this one?
