Possible? Component-DVI converter for playing PS2/Xbox on PC LCD Monitors?

Hi, I dont want to spend so much money on HDTV's, but I do have PC LCD monitors taht say they are compatible with 480p, 720p etc. But my LCD monitor (most dont) doesnt have component input.

I was wondering if its possible to buy a component -> DVI or VGA adaptor so that I can use progressive scan modes on my PS2 games and play them on my PC LCD mon...

If such a device exists.. it would save SOO much money.. thanks./.

just type "PS2 vga adaptor" in google, and have fun... or look for those words in the forum search, there have been threads on vga adaptors before.
