hiya im just gunna install my matrix infinity modchip in to my ps2 v12 and ive been reading that you need a thicker wire to connect to the 3.3v and gnd points on the chip. is this true?

Yes and no, some use thicker wire and some dont. I just use 2 30 gauge wires ran parallel. Also you will need a fix for your V12
