V4 PS2... need mod

i came to the conclusion that my PS2 is a V4 and im looking to mod it...
as far as chips go, it seems that the following ones will work on it.

-DMS4 Pro
-DMS4 Lite
-Matrix Infinity
-Crystal
-DUO2 SE
-MarsII
-Magic 3.1PLUS
-PnP Key
-Slide Card
-Slide Card Pro

new to the whole mod thing, but i have a guy that can soder a chip into this thing, hes a computer guy by trade.

can anyone give me lowdown on these things...?? looking for which runs the best and with the least trouble after installing.. anything that can get put in and forgot about?? or even the slide card thing if it works well...

any opinons??

all help is appreciated.

Depends on what all you will be doing with it after its modded and also what kind of money you want to spend.

No, you do not need a fliptop if you get the Matrix, just insert the game and it will boot like the originals

What does a mod cost that plays burned backups? A simple mod without too much hassle like solder and stuff...

Only one solderless solution for ps2, but could render your ps2 useless if ot installed properly but it has a big price tag on it
