I've used DVDx and made SVCDs and put them on two 80 minute CDs. You can take the DVDx SVCD bitrate and keep adjusting it down and it will tell you how many minutes you will get at a specified bitrate. How can you easily do that using TMPGEnc? I've found doing that I get really good quality rips (better than standard VCD) by dumbing down the bitrate and still keeping it well above the 11250 of standard VCD. It was easy on DVDx but seems to be trial n' error on TMPGEnc.

Well, it should go just like it always goes with bitrates -- minutes * 60(secs) * bitrate (kbps) / 8(bits) / 1024 = amount it takes in megabytes. And use the TMPGEnc's average bitrate for 2-pass VBR encoding to achieve the best possible results and remember that you also have an audio track which needs to be added to the total bitrate count.
