I live in Toronto, Ontario, and I want to buy some Taiyo Yuden's. I've only found 1 store that carries them (www.tigerdirect.ca) and their unbelievably exspensive. The cheapest price is $134.99 for the Taiyo Yuden 8x 4.7 GB 100-Pack DVD+R Media and $522.99 for the Taiyo Yuden 4.7GB 8X DVD-R Silv. Therml 300-pack. Is that what these Ty's usually go for? And does anyone know where else I can buy them here in toronto other then that store? I would really appreciate your feedback.

You know, if you look for Sony or Fuji discs .. and you carefully look at the label for 'made in JAPAN' written on it .. ypu will have found (most likely) Taiyo Yuden manufactured media ..
You can try this Canadian site, also .. Me thinks that the top 100 pack of Taiyo Yuden -R 4x discs is more reasonablly priced than what you've been looking at

consider yourself INACTIVE damn spammer~ :)
@saleenGT
the prices you quoted above for Taiyo Yudens, even in Canada, are WAYYYY too high~!
i have a cousin who lives in Vancouver and he buys ALL his media from:
www.blankmedia.ca
from what HE tells me, they are very reputable up there, so, when he doesn't get his media from ME directly, he buys from there hope that is a good push in the right direction~ :)
check out THIS link for Taiyo Yudens from that online retailer:
http://blankmedia.ca/prodsubcats.asp?id=62
PLENTY to choose from and MUCH cheaper than where you are finding them....
good luck

Hello Dr. Media (kivory666),
Tell your cousin this:
Buy Memorex media, they are the best.
Taiyo Yuden sucks, you pay too much for that crap.
Just to piss you off, he's going to order 500 x Taiyo Yuden :)
Reverse Psychology ! It might work hehehehe !!!

You better have some strong "mouthwash" standing by for after you make that statement Kivory! Better hope he doesn't record his calls! I'd sure hate to have proof of me saying that out there. Really, could you even bring yourself to such blasphemy? I wonder if that would be covered under malpractice insurance? Just funnin' ya, Doc! Have a great one!

@dvd-craze, Yes, it does! I have an external Sony Dru 800 ul and it booktypes +R media. Creaky is super fast at responding and I feel like I'm slow as a goose. I love the burner and it works well with the mdeia I throw at it...TY's, Verbs, and Sony's...the FuJi's and Sony's code as TY's as well..I'm well stocked.
