Whenever trying to burn a DVD I get an error after encoding saying that I it can not burn because the Device is already in use. I have included the log file. I have had this issue ever since installing the burner. It is a HP 640c, I have been able to burn a couple of cd's with it but no movies. Thanks

You could go into Device Manager and see if there actually is another application running.

I noticed your Nero is several versions behind the current version so it would be a good idea to do a full removal using the Nero Clean tool and then download the new version.

After you do the reinstallation, run the Nero Registry Checker and Driver Clean tools just to make sure you have no problems there.

You can go to http://nero.com/us/Download_Utilities.html for the tools or get them here:

Nero Clean Tool:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/clean_tool.zip

I have the Registry Checker and Driver Cleaner tools along with a few other Nero tools here:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero%20Toolkit.zip

Afterdawn has Nero in the Software section. It downloads a lot faster from here than from Nero:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/nero.cfm

The version that is listed is wrong, the download is current though.
