I figured it is cheaper to burn data files to dvd-r's than it is cd-r's because they hold so much more. But I am wondering how reliable dvd-r's are with data? These are pretty important files and I dont want to lose them. I have Verbs I am using and they are made my MCC.

So how reliable are they that my data will still be there in say 5 or 10 years?

you should be fine Verbatim is one of the best on the market along with Taiyo Yuden.

if your going to keep them that long i would store them in a good case at room temp with little to no light
