Hi guys im new to this forum and as a newbie i have some q's?

I downloaded a movie 'the island' and the size of the movie is 1.4GB and is 2hrs and 10mins.

I am using MyDVD from SONIC and when i am trying to burn the DVD the file is too large to fit the project.
How can i make the file fit to one DVD? Is there a software that can help me do it and make it fit?

hi

load to either avi2dvd or film machine both apps free and do the lot for you! PAL / NTSC / compress / 16.9 - 4.3 etc etc

very good! they have built in encoders...

Hi again!
OK here's what i did!
I downloaded cucsoft AVI to DVD and now is processing to convert it.

But i have some q's for you:
- When i transfer the file will it be smaller to fit in the project?
- Why transferring it to dvd the file will be smaller? but what about the quality of the movie?
- Usually how long it takes to convert it?
Thanks

But i dont want it to be bigger....!
I want it to fit in a DVD project so i can watch it in my DVD player.
Again i am using MyDVD by SONIC and i want the file to be smaller without loosing any quality and fit in a dvd 4.7GB.
As far as i know....if i wanted to create a data dvd this movie (1.4GB) would fit great....but to make a dvd project with menus and to be playable in a dvd player it doesnt fit.
I hope that you undestand my problem!!!
