i keep getting these really annoying errors saying that windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, when i play some mpeg files, most files work and others dont, i know its not the file it'self cuz i watched them before.

any1 know what it might be?

You are running XP?
If so then it would be MS's buggy thumbnail shell extension. You open the folder, it tries to read the file, then crashes. My advice would be to disable it. If it doesn't help you can always re-enabe it if you want.
