IVE been in and out of after dawn couple years but never exsplored consoles, picked up a xbox for my son as well as myself,newby to this could someone point me to a thread to let me know what hardware to get to start off.got dvd decriptor ,most all burning software ect.once i get the hardware or mods or what ever i nead i can start to backup hopefully like PC. games,starting from scratch. thank would appricate some in put.OKIE.

I can help you but what exactly are you trying to do? You say hardware but do you mean to mod your xbox(es), dvd drive for your PC for making backups or what.

As for burning software: Nero & DVD Decrypter are in my opinion the best way to go. For backing up PC games, Try Alcohol 120%. It aids best when it comes to disc protection. Clone DVD isn't that bad either.

Are you trying to Softmod or Use a modchip or are your xbox(es) already modded and you just need to know how to create backups and know what you'll need.

yes techniique thanks for getting back with me.sorry i was kinda vaugh, i had my xbox chipped, now what i want to do is backup these games,ive done it with my pc in the past a few times but never atempted a console game before. i have Alcohol 120 decriptor,and iam not sure what eles.anyway could you point me in the direction of knowing how to create backups?thank you okie.

I still need more info. Do you have an iso file on your PC (that's a game disc image)?...if so, you can just use DVD Decrypter to burn it to disc or you can use Nero. Any media burning software could work but those twoo have the est results when burn at slower speeds. Do you have FTP capabilities from your XBOX to your PC/Laptop?

If you can tell me exactly what kind of files you have I can tell you exactly how to back them up. here are several way but it depends on your setup.
