I have used DVD43 to backup several DVD's but recently I have had a lot of DVD's give me issues. When I play them back using Media Player Classic they will stuter and the video just seems like its either in the wrong spot or sometimes they dont line up at all. Even though I had these problems I thought I'd give DVD shrink a try and burn them with NERO.
Once burned with NERO they play on a DVD player but the images are very dark and have a redish tint to them (STRANGE!). The three specific movies I've had problems with so far are Troy, Ms Congeniality, and Coyote Ugly. I've tried using other programs like DVD Decrypter but had the exact same problem. Can anybody give me som suggestions?

I'm not sure what you mean ID Codecs. When its played in Media Player Classic, the first 1-2 minutes are messed up in VTS_01_1.VOB. The Video seems to not belong with the audio like the video is from a differnet part of the movie; but there after it plays just fine and none of the other VOB have that problem.

Once I recompress the movie with DVD Shrink and burn it to a DVD there is no stutter problem but the image is very dark with a redish tint to it I assume this happens because of what ever the previous error is.

hi

very much sounds like a disc/media problem!

use dvd identifier to tell us the media ID codes from inside the disc

have you changed where you buy discs? or the brand?

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

qb45,

The same happened to me not long ago - no probs then all of a sudden I started having playback problems. !st i thought it was my media, but had been using media from 4 different brands, and none of them had given me problems before. Also, I had recently upgraded to a newer version of DVD43, but when I tried to uninstall and get back to my previous version, I was still having SOME issues but not as many.

Finally I stopped copying at 8x and started copying at 4x and the problems seemed to stop *Shrugs shoulders* WHY DO THESE THINGS HAPPEN!!!??? *UGH*
