I could not find any info for backup up ps2 cdrom games on linux, and I do most of my burning there, so I found out how. Anyway, it goes something like this:

(Assuming your using your burner (in ide-scsi mode) to read the disc)

#cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --source-device 0,0,0 game.toc

This creates, your game.toc file and a data.bin file
Put in a cdr and:

#cdrdao write --device 0,0,0 game.toc
