I just got this on DVD, and am trying to rip it using DVD Shrink. However, DVD Shrink, when opening the full disc, would not read it and I got a message saying, "Error! Invalid Menu Navigation Structure"

DVD Decrypter is now working on it, and it's at 49 percent. However, I did get one error message out of that as well, and it says: E 23:14:11 Failed to read Sector 73376 - No Seek Complete
E 23:14:11 Failed to decrypt VTS_01_1.VOB!

I was wondering what I could do to fix this problem (if indeed it is) and why DVD Shrink (which has NEVER failed me before) wouldn't read the disc. I have the Extended Uncut/Unrated Edition if anyone is wondering.

Also, on Shrink, I could open the movie using Reauthor for some reason, but ONLY the special features, the main title could not be read at all.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try DVDFab Decrpter or try out Anydvd. With DVDFab Decrypter after it is ripped on your HD, re-author it in shrink. With Anydvd from www.slysoft.com click on it and then let it run in the background and then use "shrink".
Here are some threads about it:

You can get DVDFab here at ad:

I love AnyDVD, but it didn't solve my problem with this disc. Of course, I should've tried CloneDVD with it, but I didn't. I was able to rip it using DVDFab Decrypter and DVD Shrink though.

I am not a newbie. I have over 1000 movies but this lords of dogtown is a problem. When I play the movie on my stand alone dvd player, it plays on title 1. However when I try to copy it using DVD Shrink, title 1 doesn't appear anywhere even when I try to reauthor. When I copy the whole disc I get all of the directors commentary and all of that crap but not the main movie. I have the latest version of AnyDVD and I still can't see it. Can someone explain to me step by step how to do this.

Hi eblebe,

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/235985 this link here has several posts and solutions to Lords of Dogtown. This had alot of folks stumped initially but as usual AnyDVD came through to save the day. They have excellent guides in the guides tab at the top of the page and the link for scuba pete's guides in my signature. Use either as both are fantastic.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

AnyDVD has again been updated to handle this movie:
Quote:
2.9.5.2 Beta3 (10/06/2005)
- Change: Correct VOBU when removing "Sony ARccOS protection".
This should fix DVD Shrink error "Invalid data in file ...\VTS_02_4.VOB"
when opening files of "Lords of Dogtown" (US).
Note recent update. They had one update before the movie was even in the U.S.A.

Sorry, that update is for DVDFabDecrypter, not AnyDVD. Not enough coffie, or maybe too much on my part.

Yeah all same problems for me too, in the end it came down to using the latest AnyDVD and DVDfab then Shrink without altering the disc at all and it came out perfect.
