ok guys
i got a version 12 i think, its scph-70012

i really dont wanna go with the soldering method cuse im not good at it dont wanna take the chance of flushing 149 bucks away

iv seen the swap magic disc i tryed those once when they first came out and they didnt do crap all lol

do i have any other methods of a non soldering mod?
id prefer a non solder chip if i can get one

i know most of u really know what u are doing id appricate any help thank you very much

You can get an excellent solderless mod chip - it's called the DMS4 Ezi (check out mod-chip.com). I have this mod chip in my PS2 but it's the solder version, though I believe they do the same thing. There's nothing wrong with the Swap Magic Discs I've used them and they work fine for 99% of back up games.

i didnt think the DMS4 Ezi worked on version 12 slimline of psx2

It will not work on V12 consoles.

The DMS 4 Pro is a great modchip and is compatible with v.12. Between paying for the chip and installation you're looking at $100. If that's too much look into Swap Magic and a flip top. You can find info here: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop/page1.cfm
