You can Not Import a Video_TS or VOB files into adobe premier because it doesn"t support that Format....You should However be able to edit the Video_TS or the Files in it useing Adobe EncoreDVD....

What exactly are you trying to Do???

I want to place video from a dvd into my project, but as you say, Premiere does not recognise it. I can remove the video required from the DVD using DVD Shrink but don't know how to convert the format to something Premiere recognises.

Hi! You may need something like ImToo DVD Ripper which would convert dvds into popular video formats (e.g. AVI, mpeg):

If you want to edit VOB files (The Files on your DVD) you can use a Native Mpeg editor like "Womble Mpeg video Wizard 2005" which will allow you to Import the VOB files and edit them and add other Video files (As Long as they are in Mpeg-2/DVD Format) to your project and be able to export your project as a Big Mpeg-2 file ...Then you would just have to Load the Big Mpeg-2 file into Adobe EncoreDVD and author it to DVD.....

This way there will be no quality Loss from the Original DVD but if you Convert to a different Format First and Load it into premier there will be Quality Loss and there will be Further Quality Loss when premier Renders your project......

Cheers
