I have a pal ps2,and use swap magic to play my original import ntsc games, but now is my question,on the start-up screen,do i have to choose ntsc for signal output? Or pal? Or regular load? Because I'm getting colour on my tv but not too much. Thanks.
you should switch the screen mode to match the
game you are playing.
If it is in your region then leave it on normal
if you have problems with games in your region then try
switching it.
like set to NTSC when playing an NTSC game on a PAL system
Hi,
I sorta have the same problem only reversed. I have an NTSC PS2 but want to load Devil May Cry 3 PAL version, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried switching to PAL from the Swap Magic screen, but it doesn't work. All I get is black and white color and a flickering screen.
I think my SM is unable to switch video signals from NTSC to PAL. Or is it my DMC 3 backp faulty?
Can anyone help??
It could be your TV does not support PAL
do you have any PAL games that do work?
If you tried PAL and just for kicks tried
NTSC screen mode settings on Swap Magic, and neither
work, then it could be the TV
I have used Swap Magic with quite a few PAL games on my
NTSC system. And they work with the usuall slightly cut off
screen at the bottom, but in color.
it depends on your version of swap magic, if u have 3.6 or less i have heard you need to choose PAL or NTSC depending on the region of the game ur playing. However, i use 3.6 and i always choose "normal" video mode, and i get good quality colour and full screen for all of my games. So if ur using 3.6 just select normal.
i am was 3.0, and they would not have screen modes
if it was not needed for playing other regions games
some games may work on normal, i have some that do.
But some will not.
That is why i like my chip mush better, forces all games
to NTSC automatic and has the Y-Position fix so there is
very little if any screen lose
