Here is my Intersting Idea:
- wright prog to boot by trigger disc from mem card that, at the press of X, calls for a generic .ELF (mabey a SYSTEM.CNF that calls for BOOT.ELF from the disc drive)
- The user could simpally put in the *modified coppied game* by ejecting and swapping with the trigger disc and pressin X (*modified as in the system.cnf file is removed, and the main .ELF file renamed the generic name, like BOOT.ELF)
- I think the main key here is that the PS2 doesn't know its launching a game :)
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

the best way to POSSIBALY do it with "no swap disk" and "no modding" would be to rebuild the DVD-R as a DVD IE the Video and audio files, so the PS2 would think is a DVD-Video, The problem then would be getting the game to run, maybe with some Higery Jigery in the DVD burn/menu Settings it can be done?

Then how come the SNES and PGEN emulators can launch 4.5gig rom discs without a TOC refresh?

well im stumped there but i didnt say all games would be able to i said some besides they have to be booted using a swap disc in the first place and that process uses the TOC on the disc atumatically this is why sometime we need dvdloader because sometimes swap magic isnt enough

Ya i did my homework and once again u gys r right again :) But going back to wat "mitchls" sed, wouldn't the ps2 fail to load a game on wat it thinks is a DVD video. Wouldn't it hav to load seperate drivers to read game data?

yes it would but i was thinking if prehaps, when the "DVD" loaded and it got to the "DVD Menu" maybe some auto-run code could be written to tell the PS2 to change Drivers and boot the rest of the Disk with PS2 drivers

I'm going to try your idea and see how it works. Anyone have the name of the PS2 game driver?

Oh, and how does the Trigger disc system work. Could you by any chance get a DVD Movie to work as a trigger disc?
