I'm trying to purchase a mod for the xbox and there are so many. I was told by someone that there is a mod for the xbox which allows you to play ps2 games also...doe anyone know if this is true. If not what are the better mod chips to be looking for. Thanks

There are no mods that will play ps2 on xbox sorry. The best chip is by far the xecutor 3.

Great....Thanks,

Do you recommend the solder type or solderless version?
Is there any difference?

the answer would revolve around how good you are at soldering. If you are compitant then get the regular chip,if not go for the solderless.

Solder always. The solderless adapters are unreliable no-matter what anyone tells you. I had never soldered any electronics in my life before I did my chip. I did however practice on a ps1 motherboard for about 30 min. The result was flawless install the first try. I am an engineer however. I don't think that matters other than apptitude. "It ain't that hard."

Yeah, best thing to do is to get any old PCB's laying around and practice until you feel comfy. Also, the fact that the xbox has nice big points to solder onto doesn't hurt either.....not like that ps2,damn those are some small ones.
