Is it the PC version or PSX version of FF7? If it's the PSX version check here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/236278

Hmm I dunno about computer games, but here goes. The .bin extension means it was ripped with CDRWIN. Either it is the PSX version (which would make sense) or you didn't have the burn settings in Alcohol right. For PSX games the data type is Mode 2 Form 1. For a PC-CDROM the data setting should read Mode 1 form 1. Alcohol automatcally corrects for this. You can't change it manually, so basically find a data setting in the image burning wizard that reads it in mode 1. Try opening the .bin file with a PSX emulator and see if that works. If all else fails maybe you can burn setting the datatype to Playstation and play it on a PSX emulator. The only way I know of to open a .bin file is with a PSX emulator or to mount in on a virtual drive and do the same thing.

Either the file is corrupted or already extracted I'd say either find a torrent for the PSX version (think Google) or d/l a PSX emulator and try opening the .bin file with that.

Well PSX emulation is a little tricky but not too bad. You can get emulators here: http://ngemu.com/psx/index.php Go with ePSXe or PSXeven. You'll need the PSX bios to play your games. Search google for PSX bios or playstation bios and you'll find em (I can't link you to them as they're copyrighted by Sony). Once you find those download them into the directory marked "bios" in the emulator's folder. Open your emulator then go to run .iso and find the directory where your .bin file is and double click it. If it's in PSX format then it'll run. There are series of video, audio, and, CDROM plug in's which you can find here: http://ngemu.com/psx/index.php Just click on the emulator you downloaded and click on plug-ins. Just download a bunch of em and mix and match em til you find a combo that works. I had to play around with the plug in's a little bit until I got FF7 to run smoothly. It sounds like a lotta work but it's not. It just takes a little patience.

I can't link you to em. That's illegal and I don't wanna get sued. Go to google.com and type in PSX bios and hit search (C'mon there's 2 sites on the first page that have em) and you'll find em. Trust me they ARE NOT hard to find. Many a generous coder has put them on the web for recreational use.

Yes. To play them on PSX you need Breaker Pro or a mod chip.

Don't worry man I didn't forget about ya. If the emulator freezes when you try to load the .bin file then most likely it is the PC version you downloaded. If you have FF7 burned on disc then it should load on emulator. Try booting the PSX version you have burned on disc and lemme know what happens. I assume you found the PSX bios. I have FF7 backed up and loads fine on my PC. Of course I use Breaker Pro to boot my PSX backups.

Well like I said it appear's that the game you downloaded is the PC version so it won't run on a PSX emulator. You need to find a torrent for the PSX version. I thought said you had FF7 burned on disc. If the disc you have is burned correctly it should run on PSX emulator. Download the emulator and I'll post a step by step guide to help you get it running. Hmm are all the files in the same directory?
