Blackscreen when playing dvd media in fullscreen mode

I've formatted recently, and I've noticed when I play dvds,svcd,vcd media/images in Nero Showtime or any other dvd player software in fullscreen mode all I see in black but I can hear the audio...

I have a Geforce 4 Ti4200 and I've installed the latest driver that's compatible with all cards (78.01_winxp2k_english_whql.exe). I've also tried the old drivers, and the one I think I installed before formatting.

I noticed that I do get a picture in full screen mode when I activate NVKeystone in Nvidia settings. I didn't have to do this before formatting, and also I notice that my mouse cursor moves slower when it is activated. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the old ones, still the same story. Can't seem to find an answer or option to solve this.

I uninstalled MSI dvdplayer (Windvd) and still got the same issue. I forgot to mention Windows Mediaplayer 10 never has this problem in fullview...dvd menus are little hard to navigate in mediaplayer...

It's weird, I've never had this problem before. And what the hell is the deal with NVKeystone, i read about it and something to do with projectors Why do I need to activate it in order to view full screen in Showtime or MSI DVD (now called Windvd)

Any info on this phenomenon would be appreciated...
