First time posting long time lurker, lol.

Here goes, today I purchased a 250GB Maxtor and put it into my PS2 V4. I ordered HD Advance 2.0 since it supports up too 200GB, so by purchasing a 250GB HD I'll get a full 200GB.

Wanting to test out the HD I DL'd a copy of HD Loader

I have SM 3.3 and went ahead and booted up HD loader and everything went smooth, it recognized 127GB (that's OK, I'll just wait for my copy of HD Advance to get the full 200GB)

I went ahead and copied over 2 original games to test new setup and everything went great.

Now since I have the swipe, I went ahead and tried to copy my backups to the HD, this is were the problem occurs.

This is the steps I took to copy backups to HD.

1.Insert SM 3.3 and boot up PS2
2.Use Swipe card and boot HD loader
3.Eject HD Loader and insert PS@ original game (any game)
4.Wait for DVD to stop spinning and remove it with the swipe card
5.Insert back-up game and close with Swipe card again
6.Pick Install, name the game and DVD starts to copy.
7.Wait for process to finish.

The problem is that I've tried 7 different backups and I get disk read errors on all of them at about 90%, this is where the copy speed goes from 1044KB/sec to 300KB/sec. and I have to abort it all.

Now my only other options seems to be to copy images from ny PC to the hard drive. This is the area I have not explored yet, and therefore need all the help I can get.

I understand I have to get 2 programs and set up the HD as a slave on the PC. Where can I find these programs and what is the process of putting games on the HD from my PC and then be able to put the HD back into the PS2 and play the games?
