umm i was wonder can somebody put up a list of programs that i can use that all i have to do is put in the dvd and it turns it into a avi file onto my harddrive.

Actually there is a few of them which can do that, i'm guessing what you mean is more like DivX, cause if you use pure AVI, you will reach file sizes that, well, I don't think you'll have the space for them ;-)

Anyway, the programs I know are: DVDx, FlaskMPEG, EasyDivX, and DVD2AVI using the Save AVI option.
