I did the softmod installation with splineter cell. everything goes fine, i follow the instructions exactly. and i get it installed. i then try to install a samsung 80gb hardrive into my softmodded xbox. i follow all of those instructions and i even get as far as locking the hardrive and everything. but when i place it into the xbox and try to boot it up. i just get a screen about calling tech support or something. i worked for 6 hours tonight trying to find out what it could possibly be. i have figured out one thing.....

when i am copying the files from ftp to my local drive,. My eeprom.bin file isnt located in the linux\E\Backup\MS ... it is rather located in side of \linux\E\Backup\MS\backup . now im not exactly sure how this happened. but i just went on ahead and placed that file inside of the eeprom folder on my local drive and created the iso image and every thing. everything seems to go completly fine with all the steps until i actually put it into my xbox to boot. Doesnt work after that.

yes i followed all the directions carefully except for that one problem im mentioned abouve.

also i locked the hardrive successfully so i know it isnt that.

any help would be appreciated. what i learn from this i will make sure to share with others having this problem.
